(From weegee.org)

Unfortunately  most of the negatives were not taken by Weegee… it’s the thought that counts, and there are some great images. This photo was, presumably, taken by Weegee, and it’s amazing!
Of course there are a few photos, self-portraits, of Weegee lying on his bed, in his room at 5 Center Market Place, but this might be the only photo wee’ve seen of other people in Weegee’s room… according to the Gordon Archives this is a one-booted Gordon “Moon” Mullins…
And the top image is a great photo, see above, the AF, Arthur Fellig, abbreviation is significant…

Did you know Weegee?

Have you ever met Weegee?
Have you ever met someone who has meet Weegee?
Have you ever met someone who has met someone who has met Weegee?
Have you ever met someone who has met someone who has met someone who has met Weegee?
If so, please send us your story.
Wee would love it, if this blog became a receptacle for all Wegeee stories.
(Positive or negative, good or bad, preferably true…)
Have you ever seen Weegee from across the crowded floor at Sammy’s or shared a table at Bernstien’s on Essex’s or Washington Square Park… Have you ever shared a cigar with Fellig?
