76 Years Ago Today: “Jersey City Legs Are ‘Exceptionally Beautiful.'”

“…wrote a piece about beauteous legs across the Hudson. Delighted, the Jersey City Journal and Loew’s Journal Sq. Theater joined hands for a Legs Beautiful Contest on the great stage. Some 140 entrants, 16-60, were lined up in squads of 15 and judged from knees down, as above. No. 3 is a ringer, for comic relief. He’s an usher.
