Between acts at the Opera, Mrs. George Washington Kavanaugh was seen thus with her diamonds and her orchids across a champagne bottle at the bar on the mezzanine. She told a PM reporter her earrings weighed 20 karats earch and that she was wearing them, as usual, “to keep up morale.” “Everybody’s dressing up in England this Winter,” she added.
